Participants are expected to make use of the University accommodation facilities on campus. Taking into account that the maximum subsistence reimbursed is €105 per day for delegates and you are required to cover the cost of your lunch and refreshments provided by the University @ €29 per day, leaving you with a maximum of €76 (?£50) to cover other meals (breakfast and evening meals) and local travel as well as accommodation. The following information could be useful (rates are in pounds, exchange rate is around 1£ = €1.30; click here for currency exchange rates). Where possible we are happy to accommodate accompanying partners as well but as only single rooms will be available for Delegates you will need to reserve and pay for an adjacent room (room sharing is not permissible). Early requests for extra rooms are advised as these are likely to be limited, especially from the end of June.

·   In addition to being the best value it is also the most convenient place to stay as the lecture and workshop rooms, computer rooms, library, sports facilities, banks, shops and restaurants etc are on its doorstep. It requires no travelling at the beginning or end of the day to reach your bedroom: £27.50 a night for a new en-suite single room with internet access (and a kitchen shared between 6-8 people) - great value! This year we are providing new upgraded rooms and facilities - click for more information and a map. Plus you are in the heart of the social activities and have the best opportunities to network with both other Delegates and Keynote Speakers, make full use of the brand new Sports Facilities (just opened). To book please initially e-mail us (ESSHS@ulster.ac.uk) and then add your requirements on to the Registration form which will be available to all selected participants.

Hotels (but all these can involve travelling times around 20 to 45 minutes each way) and July is one of the busiest months for Belfast, rates are in the range £50-£100 a night. If you really want a hotel then it is up to you to make your own arrangements and advise us that you will not require a room on campus.
